Born December 25th in Detroit, Michigan Althea Rene’ began her musical journey at the tender age four. Studying classical music at Howard University Althea inspiration from the accomplishments of Yusef Lateef, Ian Anderson, and her father, one of Motown’s original Funk Brothers, Dezie McCullers. Today, Althea is considered a “master of her craft” and one of the world’s most exciting solo improvisational flutists.
Born in Stockholm, Sweden Jonathan Fritzen started his musical journey at a young age learning the piano, bass, guitar, flute, drums and vocals. Fritzen’s formal music education comes from the Royal Swedish Academy of Music in Stockholm, where he became one of the first students to receive a master’s degree from the jazz department. Today Fritzen is on his sixth solo album ‘Ballads’.
Jeanette Harris is the scintillating saxtress of smooth jazz, born and raised in California’s post-Gold Rush town of Fresno in the center of the San Joaquin Valley. Classically trained in both sax and piano, a graduate of Boston’s famed Berklee College of Music, and the saxophonist for the late, great Teena Marie’s final year of touring, Jeanette has weathered the fiercest challenges to bring the world her own brand of soulful healing vibes. This lady understands that energetic and captivating performances matched with uplifting and inspiring vibrations in the music are the solid platinum recipe for success.
A former member of EmcQ and The Derek Trucks Band, Javier Colon has referred to his style of music as being “acoustic soul.”
