Greg Dillon threw
for four touchdowns as Grambling State
defeated the previously undefeated
Prairie View A&M Panthers on Saturday
night in the annual Southwest Airlines
State Fair Classic.
Dillon passed
for 155 yards and rushed for 61 of
the Tigers' total 145 yards. Larry
Donnell caught two passes, both of
them touchdowns for the 4-and-2 Grambling
Tigers.
Donald Baber
ran for 65 yards on 23 carries for
Prairie View as their offense was
held to 80 yards total rushing. Mark
Spivey passed for 144 yards and one
touchdown for the 4-and-1 Panthers
and ran for another score. The Panthers,
however could not overcome Spivey's
three interceptions. One 30 yard interception
returned by Tigers' T.J. McCord for
a touchdown.
