Prairie View A&M Panthers is on the way to becoming the second consecutive West division champ and the fifth division champion to go undefeated in conference play since the 1999 start of the SWAC Championship. Prairie View clinched the championship and is now waiting to see who will be their Eastern division championship opponent for the SWAC Championship game to be played in Birmingham, Alabama on December 12, 2009.
